Delayed NBN speed monitoring program to cover just 400 homes initially

The head of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has revealed that only 400 household’s internet speeds will be monitored as part of the consumer watchdog’s first report on broadband speeds into Australia.

Announced in April last year to provide consumers with information on telco’s typical speeds on fixed-line NBN services at various times throughout the day, the $6.5 million broadband speed monitoring program has already suffered delays in getting off the ground.
